How do I add shortcuts to side menu?

Unlike most note taking apps, you might have noticed that when you add a tag, create a notebook or a topic, they are not added automatically to the side menu for quick access. We have seen people with 100's of tags, all on the side menu.

Managing those tags from there and finding what you are looking for becomes a pain as your notes collection grows. To tackle this, we have added shortcuts in our app which give you the control of what you want to see on your side menu. You can add shortcuts of tags, notebooks, and topics to side menu.

Creating shortcut of a notebook

+++ Desktop/Web

1. Go to Notebooks
2. Right click on a notebook or click on the three-dot more button to open Notebook properties
3. Click on Create shortcut
4. The notebook will appear on side menu. +++ Mobile/Tablet
5. Go to Notebooks
6. Press on the three-dot more button to open Notebook properties
7. Click on Add shortcut to menu
8. The notebook will appear on side menu. +++

Creating shortcut of a topic

+++ Desktop/Web

1. Go to Notebooks and open a notebook
2. Right click on a topic in notebook or click on the three-dot more button to open Topic properties
3. Click on Create shortcut
4. The topic will appear on side menu. +++ Mobile/Tablet
5. Go to Notebooks and open a notebook
6. Press on the three-dot more button to open Topic properties
7. Click on Add shortcut to menu
8. The topic will appear on side menu. +++

Creating shortcut of a tag

1. Go to Tags
2. Right click on a tag or click on the three-dot more button to open Tag properties
3. Click on Create shortcut

7. Click on Add shortcut to menu

Removing a shortcut

+++ Desktop/Web

1. On the side menu, right click on any shortcut to open Shortcut properties
2. Click on Remove shortcut to remove it from side menu +++ Mobile/Tablet
3. On the side menu, long press on any shortcut to open Shortcut properties sheet
4. Press on Remove shortcut to remove it from side menu +++
